Chris + Elizabeth’s Engagement Session at King Williams and The Pearl

As the second time meeting Chris + Elizabeth approached, I couldn’t help but feel giddy, excited, blessed and honored. Having been referred to by the ever so sweet Emma + Trevor, I couldn’t help but think, so this must be a dream couple to work with, naturally. =) We met at the King William District near Steve’s Homestead and the Johnson Street Bridge. As you can see, this area of San Antonio is STUNNING with beautiful trees, the San Antonio River, wonderful, historic homes and a bridge people enjoy resting at by means of finding peace and a quiet breeze. Our plan was to dance on the bridge, walk the 2 adorable beagles, Noah and April and make the very best of every ounce of time we had together… Elizabeth got Noah when she was just 16 years old. He’s 10 years old and a handsome fellow, especially with his cute bowtie!!! April is 7 years old and was adopted by Chris + Elizabeth last year! I think they make a good couple. =)

After walking around a bit and admiring the surrounding beauty and architecture, we drove the The Historic Pearl with a new outfit and a whole new set of beautiful, historic buildings. I have to thank Chris + Elizabeth for their joy in historic San Antonio. And their wedding will be along the river, too!!! First at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church then a beautiful reception at Hotel Valencia! I CAN’T WAIT!!! Enjoy their beautiful love story below…

How They Met

“We met on an alumni Texas A&M kickball team in San Antonio in the spring of 2017. Elizabeth had recently moved to San Antonio in the fall. We were friends for a few months then one day the two of them decided to go rock-climbing. The rock-climbing hangout then turned in coffee, Mass, and pizza. (All of Elizabeth’s favorite things- swoon!) We ended up spending the whole day together and soon after started dating.”

The Proposal

“So Chris and I had a race bet. Whoever improved their time the most would get a prize of their choice. I ended up winning and chose to go to Feast for dinner!

We also do these “surprise dates” every month where one of us plans a date for the other. This has ranged from indoor skydiving, fencing, a play, goat yoga, etc. This time Chris decided to surprise me with tickets to see a Queen cover band, Gary Mullen & The Works, at the Tobin Center.

Afterward, Chris and we’re walking along the riverwalk  toward my apartment and said he had one more surprise for me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Then our local friends and my family popped out behind bushes to congratulate us. We then celebrated at one of my favorite spots, Hotel Havana.” ~Elizabeth
