Crystal + Mike’s Engagement Session at the Botanical Gardens

I met Crystal + Mike last year when they were newly in love šŸ„° šŸ˜ ā¤ļø and head over heels for each other. It was their 2018 Fall Family Photos, and they decided to combine their two beautiful families for their photos … look how cute they were!!! …

Now they are engaged to be married next June!!! AAH! I want to shout this from the rooftops because their love is so joyful, adventurous, exciting and wonderful, and it’s like 2 beams of light are getting married!! Seriously powerful and a beautiful thing to watch unfold. You HAVE to read their STORY!!!!!!! ….

How They Met.

We met on Bumble!  Both of us were just looking for someone to potentially share fun times with and were open for more, if it was to be.  We talked for a few weeks about our lives, jobs, children, etc. until he asked me on a date.

Dating Status.

On a beautiful Spring afternoon in early May, Mike took me to Fredericksburg for some food, good conversation, and window shopping.  We had our first kiss and it was lovely.  We didn’t want the date to end, but I had a poker night to go to with some of my friends, so I invited him along to meet them and to see if he could hold his own.   He agreed and as it turns out, is a bit of a poker shark.  My friends liked him a lot, too.  We still go to poker night with that same group of friends all the time.

On our second date, Mike took me to Boerne for an afternoon stroll on the Riverwalk, where we agreed to only see each other until we figured out if we would becomeĀ bf/gf.Ā  That seemed to be the right move and helped us build a foundationĀ of trust, which allowed us to get there.Ā Ā At around 6 months we realized we might as well move in together since we never saw his place.Ā  We were totally in love and all in.

Over the past 16-17 months, we’ve traveled all over the place together and gotten to know each othersā€™ children and families.  What surprises me the most is how well we get along.  I don’t think I realized that this kind of love was something that I would have in my life.

The Engagement.

On August 30, 2019, Mike took me back to Boerne to a place we like and have visited several times called Salvador Dobbs and then we went for a stroll on the Riverwalk again, where he popped the question.  It was an easy yes.  I am so grateful that I have been given the gift of true love and can’t wait to marry him and live our lives together as husband and wife.
