Emily + Tyler’s Engagement Session at King William’s Historic District

For two people who weren’t sure how to pose in front of the camera (kinda like most of us) and for two people who were hesitant at the thought of modeling (again, guilty), these love birds ROCKED this session! Every instruction, every new pose, even the lift… Emily + Tyler’s Engagement session at King William’s Historic District quickly became the modeling session that took over this beautiful area of town!! It’s like the nerves melted away and their love took over. Goodness, it feels so good to be back in the swing of things! Thank you, Emily and Tyler for trusting me with your precious engagement memories, and better yet – your WEDDING! I cannot wait to hang with y’all for 8 hours and capture your beautiful wedding at Milestone New Braunfels’ Legacy Hall! March cannot get here soon enough!

How did they meet?

“We met through an online dating app that was popular at UTSA at the time. We talked for days and realized that we just had to meet each other in person because we had such a strong connection. When we first met in person, we had an instant chemistry that continues to grow even five years later. Our first date included dinner and the movie Fast and Furious! I knew the first night that I met Tyler, that I could easily spend the rest of my life with this guy.

How did they become an official couple?

There was never a moment in time where we officially declared ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend. After the first night we met, we just knew we wanted to spend more time together. The more time we spent together, the more we laughed and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company, to the point where we became life long best friends and were falling in love at the same time.

How did he propose?

Tyler knew how important family was to me and knew that I really wanted my grandmother to be a part of the proposal. Our family does a thanksgiving reunion every year in Kerrville, TX where all 50 of us come together for a few days at a church retreat. After the first night of our family reunion, our family had just ended our evening devotional and then a very nervous Tyler gets up in front of my entire family and begins thanking them for allowing him to be a part of this amazing family. I did not know what was happening until all of a sudden he got down on one knee and proposed to me in front of grandma and all! I was so impressed by his courage to get up in front of so many of my family members and for coming up with the perfect proposal that included everyone I love. He nailed it! “
