What better way to welcome Halloween than cold weather, The Pearl, Hays Street Bridge, an engagement session and a new blog post!!! Coming all the way from L.A., Heather and Bryan’s wedding will be at The Oaks at Heavenly in Helotes, TX!!! I’m so excited!!! Especially after meeting them and their adorable son, Ashton, I know their wedding will be one for the books!
Starting off at the Historic Pearl was the way to go. Since their wedding will be in the Hill Country and have that South Texas feel, it only made sense to get that true San Antonio feel by walking around the shops, restaurants and river near The Pearl and Hotel Emma. Quietly playing with his books and eating his delicious strawberries, Ashton watched as his daddy held Mommy close and made her smile until the whole earth brightened. Heather’s smile is so beautiful, infectious and joyful that I couldn’t help but smile through my entire editing process. Watching their love was more than a love story – these two are best friends and there is no mistaking that.
While walking around the Pearl, it was fun listening to what life is like in LA. These 3 spend all their time at the beach and outside, even when Heather had just had Ashton… her dad convinced her it was a good idea to go to the beach and get him out of the house. “It’s good for him”, he said. Of course the beach with a diaper accident and feedings and sand and wind made for a quick rush home, but that didn’t stop future beach excursions. They absolutely LOVE L.A. living. Not to mention working for The Price Is Right! I mean, what a job to have!!?!
We wrapped up at the Pearl in just over an hour so we could make the 6 minute drive to the Hays Street Bridge which overlooks San Antonio. By 6 minutes, I mean 15 because I typed in the wrong spot in my GPS and we went on a little adventure, haha. We eventually arrived and got out my Magmod Softbox for some fun as the sun set a beautiful orangy-pink across the popcorn clouds! Still as chill as ever, Ashton even got in on some photos and we were able to capture all of San Antonio in the short 25 minutes we had left. I LOVE MY JOB!!! Enjoy some highlights of our time together. EEEK!
