Haley + Frankie’s Engagement Session at the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Antonio, TX

Well folks, he went to Jared! I had the honor of meeting Haley and Frankie at The Club at Garden Ridge during an event there, and I fell in love immediately with their collective sweet nature, their presence and overall Hannah Charis Wedding Couple Feel! What a TREASURE this couple is to meet, know and even pass by on a street corner while walking their dog, Libby. Rarely do I get to meet a couple 3x before their wedding day, but we had the opportunity to hang out and chat in my office before they booked, and getting to know their story – which I’ll let Haley tell in a minute – sealed the deal for me! Family oriented, kind, thoughtful, and they love Olive Garden! It’s just meant to be. =) So we scheduled Haley + Frankie’s Engagement Session at the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Antonio, TX!

As you can tell below, their first tour around the Japanese Tea Gardens was nothing short of perfect. Libby is just as sweet natured as Haley + Frankie, and I had the best time watching these three interact. As much as Frankie makes Haley’s eyes sparkle, Libby makes both their eyes light up like the Christmas Trees around town. Looking back through some of these moments made me gleam from ear to ear… Their wedding next Spring is going to be joy-filled!!!!

Leading up to the First Date

We met our freshman year of college through mutual friends at UTSA. We didn’t hit it off until a few years later… I was out with friends at a dance hall and ran into Frankie there. We didn’t really hit things off until a few weeks later when I ran into him again at a sorority step show competition. We all went out for drinks later and we just really enjoyed being around each other. We exchanged numbers, texted and talked for a little while, and he eventually asked me out on our first date (Olive Garden). We went on dates over the next 2 months, and we made our bf/gf status official in July of 2011.

The Proposal

He caught me completely by surprise! I knew that a proposal was coming, but I had no idea how or when he was going to pop the question. His family likes to host BBQ’s a lot, so when he invited me over for a family BBQ I didn’t think anything of it. He popped the question after dinner in front of his family! 🙂
