Entering the Club at Garden Ridge

From color and personality to best friends and music choices, from vendor selections and design choices to THE CAKE and so much more, this wedding could not have been made possible without Bride Jonell and her dedication to perfection! Jonell and Micheal’s Gold and Burgundy wedding at the Club at Garden Ridge was a jaw-dropping, feet tapping, hat wearing good time! When I arrived on scene to Tracy from Union Events and her worker bees putting Jonell’s vision together, Tracy kindly gave me the rundown of the day, and we plotted and schemed how to make this the best day ever for the Govans! Hustling around to create the perfect detail shots, the background noise was dense with family members and friends in anticipation and excitement for this marriage! I could hear the pride in peoples’ voices, the joy for their love that is unmistakable, and the readiness for PARTY TIME! Haha, and let’s be honest, the entire day felt like a party!

A Gold and Burgundy Party

Parties have gifts, so naturally Micheal and Jonell exchanged both vows and gifts privately, and I must say that’s when the emotion and weight of the day began to sink in. Once dressed, dolled up and ready, Jonell wasn’t done gift-giving… it was time for Dad to open his cufflinks while getting to see is daughter in her bridal get-up for the first time. Of course, parties also have dancing, and it seems Micheal danced his way through the entire wedding day. In his Modern Man get-up, he danced all the way down that long Garden Ridge aisle to wait for his beautiful bride, Jonell danced her way into the reception during grand entrances, and then Micheal came in shortly after to finish the dance, surrounded by all their friends and family! It was a serious celebration of their union, and what better way to make their day unforgettable than throwing the perfect party!
