I had the pleasure of meeting KayCee Lee a while back when I first moved to Texas in 2009. I’ve always seen her in the most beautiful light as she exudes joy, happiness, giddiness, love and pure goodness. She is best friends with my husband’s cousin, Haley, and I loved watching them laugh a LOT and care about each other deeply. Now Haley got to watch her best friend get married to the man who treats her with adoration, care, love, friendship and kindness: George. KayCee + George’s wedding at Chandelier of Gruene just reassured all I already knew about this powerhouse of a couple.
The entire day approached with a “go-with-the-flow, everything’s going to be wonderful, even in the imperfections” attitude. As you’ll see in the first image below, they, along with many couples out there, had to send out “Let’s try this again” Wedding Invitations! It was going to happen this time! I got to hang out with KayCee while she got ready with her gorgeous hair and incredible makeup at Bloom Studio and Salon! She was answering calls about the day, about her sweet daughter, Aurora, and all the things that go with it. She kept on her smile and continued to giggle her way through until we arrived at the chapel to get her dressed and onto doing her first look with Dad!
Once at Chandelier of Gruene, the rest of the day seemed to magically fall into place. We got to take all the pictures KayCee had requested… and then some. Every time I saw KayCee’s Dad, James, he had a look of endearment and awe, all over his face. It was truly a beautiful moment getting to see him witness his daughter for the first time on her wedding day as she beamed down the steps toward him to give a closer look and then embrace her daddy with excitement.
As James walked KayCee down to have her first look with George, George was standing, facing the doors he was going to see KayCee walk through just moments later when the music would start. KayCee gently tapped his shoulder and he turned around with love in his eyes, joy on his lips and flutters in his heart. Everything about that look was touching. It set the tone for the rest of the wedding celebration as James gave KayCee away and they did their thing!
I can’t wait for you to scroll through these images and celebrate with me as we re-live the wedding day of KayCee + George Contreras!
