Melissa + Ronnie’s Engagement Session at the Cibolo Nature Center

What to say about Melissa + Ronnie… well, for starters, they each have the most genuine smiles, they have the kindest hearts and their love for each other is a beauty that is an honor to witness. OH! And they are Videographers – fellow Wedding Business Partners!!! It is my absolute joy to get the opportunity to photograph their wedding next April! I first met with Melissa + Ronnie in my office and got to hear all about their journey as a couple – they are so easy to laugh with and their engagement session proved their pro-model capabilities as you will shortly observe… How do I get so blessed to get to meet some of the best people on the planet!???!! My heart is full today, and I cannot wait for you to scroll through the images of Melissa + Ronnie’s Engagement Session at the Cibolo Nature Center…

How They Met

We met at work and actually started our respective positions on the very same day, May 20, 2019! Our desks were placed right next to each other and we went through onboarding and training at the same time. We became friends rather quickly, and after a year of working together, we were able to give dating a shot! We actually started dating right before the pandemic and lockdown hit, so we spent the first few months of dating quarantining together. And because of that experience, we knew that we could get through anything as a couple and made it official. And well, the rest was history! He got a job offer in Texas and we were off to move into our first apartment, and we’ve been here since.

The Proposal

We got engaged on Memorial Day weekend of this year, which happens to be my birthday weekend as well. It’s funny because I had a strong suspicion that he was going to propose that weekend, so I made sure to have my nails nice and pretty, just in case! Haha. We were staying at a friend’s house who was hosting a Memorial Day/Melissa’s birthday celebration, and invited a bunch of our friends over. Ronnie had a birthday cake made for me and when they finished singing happy birthday, he handed me a single cupcake that had the ring in the frosting! He got down on one knee and proposed. And one of the best parts is that he coordinated to have my family on FaceTime to watch the whole thing live since they all live in Miami, so it was super special.
