I have stopped waiting for the day that photographing an engaged couple or a wedding will get old…. I’m convinced it never will – case in point: Nicole + Taylor’s Engagement Session at King William District! I knew after virtually meeting Nicole that we would get along wonderfully, so when I got to see her and Taylor together, my heart immediate leapt for them as I got excited for this joyous time in their lives. And let me tell you, NOTHING says MFEO like showing up in Spurs Jerseys for the first half of their session! Of course for Golden Hour, they saved the fancy, dreamy outfits and KILLED IT! King William District certainly never disappoints with the Johnson St Bridge, Old mansions, beautiful greenery and river access! What a way to spend my Sunday afternoon, SERIOUSLY!
How They Met
Nicole + Taylor met while attending Tom C. Clark High School, here in San Antonio, TX! They actually had the same math class! Haha. During high school, they decided to go on their first date after hitting it off at school. A group movie night at Taylor’s family’s house was the perfect start to their relationship! They became incredibly close through high school and grew a bond that would last through long distance – multiple times… while Nicole went off to Texas State University in San Marcos and Taylor went to University of the Incarnate Word, here in San Antonio. Of course, they couldn’t help but see each other EVERY weekend, just about! These two were inseparable!!
The Proposal
A few years after college, Taylor had to spend a year in Midland, TX for work, leaving Nicole to stay in San Antonio during those long 365 days! 😠But just as before, their relationship held strong and true, leaving Taylor to think about how he was going to propose to the woman of his dreams. Once back in town, a special day was fast approaching. Nicole’s birthday is March 10th – yes, RIGHT before the pandemic hit hard! Nicole had a work trip in Orlando for a Nationals Dance Competition (Nicole is a dance teacher), so the DAY she got back, Nicole and Taylor went to Austin for a Post Malone concert! They had the best time and Taylor knew it was the perfect date (March 10th) and the perfect moment to pop the question. Of course, Nicole said, “Yes!”
As they bravely plan their wedding through this pandemic, I am so excited to see how all the pieces come together for their wedding in July of 2021 at the beautiful Featherstone Ranch! AND I get to work with Joanne Doll at Lasting Impressions by Design… my favorite Event Planner EVER! Don’t have a planner? CALL HER YESTERDAY!!!
