Cam + Olivia’s Engagement Session at The Historic Pearl

Back at The Historic Pearl and the Hays street bridge!!! Last time we did this was for Heather + Bryan’s engagement session and oh my goodness we had just as much fun if not more!! I love the relationship Cam and Olivia have together. In the midst of the stress of studying and finals, they took a break to meet me downtown and they laughed, giggled, had a “picnic” and “study session” and it was like hanging out with some of my closest friends! I truly adore these two and the fun they made my job into. I’m so excited to get to meet with them tonight to share their full gallery and go over wedding details!!!! Corpus in 2022 is the plan!!!! What beautiful individuals, inside and out… I can’t wait for you to take a look at a few sneak peeks of my time at Cam + Olivia’s Engagement Session at The Historic Pearl!! But first: Their story….
How we met:
Cameron and I met at John Paul II High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. We knew of each other for a few years and had mutual friends, but it wasn’t until we found ourselves on a trip to Rome, Italy for the canonization of Saint John Paul II, that we got to know each other more and started falling in love. We started dating and went to college together in Austin, Texas. During the five years that we dated, we enjoyed listening to live music, traveling to Dallas Cowboys football games, and of course, going on study dates.
After graduating from college, we both came to San Antonio for Graduate School. Cameron is in his last year of Law School at St. Mary’s School of Law and Olivia is in her last year of her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University. Our relationship grew stronger and Cameron proposed to Olivia in April 2019.
The Proposal:
Cameron began planning the proposal as a surprise in 2017. After choosing the perfect ring by himself and asking Olivia’s parents for her hand, Cameron planned a “birthday party” where family and friends joined to surprise Olivia for their engagement. Olivia had no idea, all the way until Cameron pulled out the ring during a speech in front of family and friends. The wedding is set for January 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
