Emily + Tyler. Y’all, I have nothing but good and amazing things to say about these two! From their wedding consult and sharing their beautiful love story with me to their Engagement Session at King Williams Historic District, to correspondence and then of course, their wedding. Eventually UTSA Graduates with an instant connection after being united by a popular college dating app, the movie Fast and Furious is what Kicked things off for these two, but slow and steady got them to their marriage vows, haha. The easiest thing to notice when Emily and Tyler are in the same room together is how deep-rooted their friendship is. Their journey to marriage has been a constant bond and a wonderful, BEST friendship where they fell in love along the way, and that led to an epic proposal. Thanksgiving Family reunion tradition at a church retreat (Grandma included), Tyler courageously got up in front of around 50 of Emily’s family members and asked for Emily to marry him! Emily, being a family gal, was shocked, blessed and incandescently happy.

With the wedding day finally here at Milestone New Braunfels, I learned even more about these two. As “Snow-Pocalypse” came through and took out power, heaters, water and forced the city of San Antonio + surrounding areas to put everything on pause, Emily and Tyler held it together and were completely organized! They had friends and family READY to help, especially day of. MANY issues popped up, many things that would send any bride/groom into a tailspin, trying to keep their head above water, but not these two. When I arrived day of their wedding, they were composed and had it all handled. Smiles danced across their faces as if nothing had gone wrong and everything was right in the world because they got to commit their lives together by celebrating their marriage in front of friends and family! Nothing could ruin this day! In addition to their composure and emotional strength, I found out how BEAUTIFUL Emily’s penmanship is! Not only did she write me the SWEETEST and most beautiful thank you card for shooting her wedding, but she also MADE the Table Chart! *WHAT?! Serious talent, this one!

One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was seeing the tears of loved ones, flooded with happy thoughts of getting to witness the marriage of 2 powerhouses. Those tears of joy fell to the ground countless times, making the eyes of their loved ones sparkle as the dress was seen on Emily for the first time, as the first look unfolded, as that aisle moment pierced the heart with emotion and on through the ceremony as the personal vows were read with honesty, trust and commitment. I will never forget this day. Emily + Tyler’s Wedding at Milestone New Braunfels post Snow-Pocalypse was the day I got to witness the truest version of family, amazing vendors such as Lilyflower Hair & Makeup and Evember floral (to name a couple), but most of all, a love that made it through COVID-19 AND the rolling blackouts from the craziest snow and ice storm San Antonio has seen since 1985! You two ROCK!
