Back here again for Analicia + Regan’s Engagement Session at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne, TX, but not at all redundant! The word etherial doesn’t even reach the surface of describing our stroll through this scenic park with these two soul mates! All the whisperings from Analicia to Regan behind me as we walked to each next spot was music to my ears and a wonderful reminder of how long these two have known each other. Always with a “yes, dear” or “thank you, dear”, it was as if they had been married for years already, but then when they looked in each other’s direction, sparks flew as if their relationship was fresh and new, eager to start forever. Their love brought a glow, a light and a powerfully, contagious hope for all things to come. I truly wish this kind of love for all my brides, all my readers and every relationship that comes to the road of marriage. In the beginning…

“We actually don’t know when we met because we’ve known each other so long! We grew up going to church together and we can’t recall meeting one another, but we remember each other always being there. Regan and I started out our relationship long distance with him in Dallas and myself in San Antonio. He came into town for my birthday weekend and we went to a Spurs game together. While we were watching the game, Regan turned to me and asked me to be mutually exclusive with him and told me he didn’t want to see anyone else. I said yes and then the Spurs won! We then dated for 1.5 years went on many canoe camping river trips, dinner dates, movie nights, dates with Regan flying me in planes, and 1.5 years later …

The Proposal

…we went on a weekend getaway to go stay in a yurt in a beautiful valley, followed by a hiking trip in Lost Maples Park. As we’re hiking through the park Regan suggested we go picnic next to this small secluded pond. We started to enjoy our wine and lunch and then Regan asked me to stand up. I thought this was an odd request, but agreed to do so. He then proposed and of course I accepted immediately and we’ve been celebrating ever since!”
