Christy + Indy’s Wedding at The Club at Garden Ridge

With birds chirping, soft clouds blanketing the cool of the sky, Cloudsteppers cushioning my feet from the gravel below, a white suitcase in my hand and a camera draped on my shoulder, I was ever so ready to see the look on Christy’s face as she prepared for the rest of her life. You see, Christy and Indy met in Chemistry class as they both were studying at Baylor… Christy in Pre-med, Indy studying Physical Therapy. I implore you, read my blog from their ENGAGEMENT SESSION because you will see just how POWERFUL their love is for each other. These two fell head over heels for each other and there is no mistaking that. When Christy Looks at Indy, her eyes squint but soften, she can’t help but smile and she tilts her head in admiration, kindness, love and endearment. Indy’s look is similar in the most simplistic way. . . His eyes soften with a gentle smile to where you wonder if he’s going to tear up. . . I hope my images do them justice as they are quite frankly an inspiration to watch and it will melt you into a puddle.

Opening the soft, blue doors to the Club at Garden Ridge, I smelled a beautiful hint of perfume coming from the right and heard loud cheering and music to my left. I think you can guess which was the bridal sweet and which was the groom’s, haha. When I opened the door to my right, there she was… Christy was getting her makeup done by a friend of the family, and she was gleeful. Her eyes seemed to tell both her love story with Indy and her future with him, all at the same time. Quietly and gracefully, bringing peace and joy, Christy’s mom, Martha, was there, too, among all the beautiful bridesmaids, supporting, giddy and happy for this love story to become official!

If you’re reading this and have your wedding date set, I urge you to do a first look!! Maybe I’m just sappy, but I cry every. single. time. Watching Christy look at Indy as he waits for her to call his name was almost as sweet and perfect as his face when he turned around and saw his beautiful bride. That first moment is remarkable and unforgettable, and to have the opportunity to experience it alone is momentous and saves you from falling apart at the altar! =) It’s hard to explain until you experience it for yourself, but I can’t wait for you to scroll through these images and see that part of the Hinz/Henderson day unfold.

I wish all these images had sound because to be there would be the best way to experience the good time that was had. . . Beyond the joyous ceremony, the laughter, the rose pedal exit and all the in betweens, my favorite parts had to be the dance floor and the bride and groom entrance to “Un Poco Loco” via the Mariachi Alma De Jalisco! As guests enjoyed a churro from Honchos – The House of Churros and some coffee for dipping, phones came out as well to document the well rehearsed dance that Christy and Indy NAILED with all the elements of fun! AAH! I wish more people could have been there to witness this wedding! The dance was followed by food by Heavenly Gourmet & Napkins and then more dancing with the EVER so TALENTED DJ Men Yo! I’ve never seen so many people stay on the dance floor this long which is why I don’t always document the dance floor in my blog, but HOW COULD I NOT!??!
