Claire + Lee’s Engagement Session at Overlook Park

It was our first visit to Overlook Park in Canyon Lake, but not our first time meeting. I LOVED meeting with Lee and Clair for their wedding consult December 29th of 2020… I got to hear all about Hinge, Chick Fil a, and Jumanji. 💕 Their friendship and love was obvious, and and their wedding at Gruene Estate is going to be a DREAM!!! Thankfully Claire + Lee’s Engagement Session at Overlook Park gave us just the posing practice we needed for their wedding in March of 2022! We hiked down by the water, BLUE as blue could be, and we spent some time in the warm of the sun, “warming up” with some fun, natural poses. They were naturals! With the sweetest, kindest, most loving looks at each other – a natural chemistry – and voila! A session for the BOOKS! I cannot wait for you to hear their full story and scroll through some of our best moments together in Canyon Lake, TX. My heart is full of joy today!

“Lee and I first met on the dating app Hinge in December of 2019. After messaging back and forth for a few days we decided to meet in person after Christmas. For our first date we kept it simple by just eating Chick fil a and going to see the new Jumanji movie. It went well, and we decided to see each other again for New Years. Since we live about an hour apart, we met up a few more times over the weekends throughout January and decided to watch the Super Bowl together on February 2nd. After the game was over Lee asked if I would be his girlfriend, and I said “okay.” 😂

We continued taking turns driving to each other for our weekend visits and even made plans to fly to Vegas together for a couple days in April. Unfortunately the world shut down in March and our trip was cancelled. We ended up spending our weekends watching a lot of Netflix and hanging out at home together. While it may not have been the most ideal way to start a relationship, it gave us so much time to really get to know each other and grow closer.

On November 14th our parents finally met each other for the first time. My family drove up to Schulenburg where Lee’s parents live, and we all enjoyed a barbecue lunch together. What some of us didn’t know was that Lee also had another surprise planned for the day. He proposed at the swing in the front yard of his parents’ house on a beautiful fall afternoon. Our parents were all so excited to be there for the proposal.

As a teacher, I can’t wait for this school year to end in June so I can move in officially and bring an end to our weekend visits. We can’t wait to be together all the time and see what the future has in store for us!”
