I met Emma + Trevor in August of 2018, and although Trevor hadn’t proposed yet, they wanted to get ahead of the game and reserve vendors for their incredible day. Who knew it that Yelp would bring us together for an incredible journey of watching this chapter of marriage unfold into a beautiful picture book of loving memories?!!!
It seems we could give all the thanks to Trevor’s sister who introduced them to each other – although their first date wasn’t all roses and chocolate fountains, haha. Their first date together was at an Italian restaurant in Bryan, TX where they then went to a very “special” bar with a very special amount of cockroaches gracing their presence. Emma was swooned. 😉
Just a couple months later after meeting Emma + Trevor, we met at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne, TX for their Engagement Session where I got to capture the beginnings of their love story in the RAIN! With umbrellas overhead, rain jackets on my cameras and a gentle mist that was persistent, we rocked it in that muddy field with laughter, fun and lots of “Model” training! If you haven’t seen these yet, check out Emma + Trevor’s Engagement Session HERE!
Arriving at the Allen Farmhaus bright and early February 24th, I slowly walked through the parking lot toward the bridal sweet just taking it all in. Daybreak had not yet come, but there was the hustle + bustle of family/friends joyfully and thoughtfully putting together these love birds’ special day with beauty and perfection… Everyone seemed excited to play a part. Emma was in the bridal sweet in her white robe while her bridesmaids were both helping with the venue and taking turns getting ready.
With details captured, we prepared for the first look! Emma got her dress on and her mom and sisters helped. And then something wonderful happened. All the girls gathered around Emma and prayed over her. They prayed with passion, adoration, hope, joy and love. It was so beautiful and a special moment that I personally will hold dear forever. It was just the thing to launch us into the first look, walking out to meet Trevor who was standing by the Chapel.
Emotions ran wild as Emma gently called Trevor’s name. He turned around and saw this masterpiece standing before him, this love of his life standing there with both inner and outer beauty. He admired her, teared up, hugged, kissed and spun her around where he was surprised again! Emma doesn’t like buttons typically, but on their wedding day she wore TONS of them!!! She was an absolute VISION.
I love when couples do a first look because I have the honor of photographing some individuals of them as well as couples photos… It was amazing! Carly took Trevor and I took Emma and we captured their joy while they modeled like pros. Â And shortly after, their wedding began in that very chapel. It was a beautiful Ceremony with communion and some more tears. My favorite part was watching Emma and her daddy walking down the isle. It was perfection… even Emmitt walking down the isle as their ring bearer… He was so CUTE!
My favorite part of the day and what made me laugh the hardest was during the toasts when Emma’s sister, Ilsa, said, “I’m still not sure if Emma is just marrying Trevor for Emmitt.” Hahaha – they do love that sweet dog a TON! He even stayed for the reception! I loved watching him rest his head on the table, watching and hoping while the groomsmen ate doughnuts from the doughnut wall!! Hahaha. SUCH a crack up.
With a last private dance and a bubble exit, we all said goodbye to Emma + Trevor Barnett. Their love story has officially begun, and once again I am reminded that I have the BEST. JOB. EVER! =)
